Ditch your trolley – there are some spectacular organic farmers markets coming up around Nairobi where you can get your fresh, local produce for a farm-fresh meal.
In fact, many now offer much more than freshly-picked fruits and vegetables such as home-made jams and nut butters, eggs, cheese, pastries, gelato, juices, fish and much more! I’ve rounded up 3 of the markets I’ve been to so far and are definitely worth checking out! It’s a perfect way of getting some healthy goodies as well as supporting farmers and other producers who work hard to bring you quality products.

Market details: Held outdoors at Kilimani Primary School every Sunday from 9am to 4pm rain, hail or shine.

2. The Erroll Farmers Market
Market details: Held outdoors (or indoors during rainy weather) at The Lord Errol in Runda (89 Ruaka Road), formerly every Saturday from 9am to 3pm but has recently been changed to a monthly market. I’ll post details soon!
Market special: The Lord Errol prepares a mouth-watering barbecue during every market day. Tuck-in on your way out after visiting the stalls at the market.
3. Karen Organic Farmers Market
